ABOUT
Theron Wineinger is a scenic designer and visual storyteller for the entertainment industry. He is passionate about the power of design to shape our understanding of the world.
Theron holds a BFA in Scenic Design from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) located in Cincinnati, Ohio. There, he was the scenic designer for a double bill production of Puccini's operas Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, closing CCM's 150th anniversary mainstage season.
He has applied his skills in design, drafting, rendering and model construction to many projects spanning theatre, television, themed entertainment, corporate events and beyond. As an associate scenic designer, he has worked on and off-Broadway with designers including Alexander Dodge, Mark Wendland, and Ann Beyersdorfer to bring their visions to life.
Theron was the 2018 recipient of USITT's W. Oren Parker Scene Design Award, a juried award presented to one graduating scenic designer in the country. His work was also featured at the 2018 Young Designer's Forum, an exhibition of student design work across multiple disciplines.
Theron is a proud member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829. He lives in New York City with his husband, Frankie, and their 2 cats.
